This 1979 Chrysler 300 is an outstanding original example of a rare and unique piece of Chrysler history. Only 3811 were built, very few remain, even less in excellent, "as-built" condition. It was a well executed effort to build a performance car at the very end of the musclecar era.
Built on a heavy-duty, police-spec chassis and suspension, it carries the E-58 police interceptor 360 cubic inch V-8, heavy duty Torqueflight automatic transmission, and the heavy duty 9 1/4 rearend w/3.23 gears, as well as factory dual exhaust.
Other highlights include:
-- unique "300" specific black-out grill with aggressive
crossbar and emblem
-- "300" specific front fender louvers
-- special trim, badging, and striping
-- factory air conditioning
-- leather bucket seats with floor shift console
-- power windows
-- rally instruments w/tachometer
-- factory AM/FM/cassette
-- rear defrost
-- remote sport mirrors
-- unique "300" specific wheels w/white lettered tires
This car has only 69,500 actual miles. Same owner for over 32yrs! Believed to be all original paint and interior. Even the bumper rub strips and extensions are in pristine condition.
We feel the quality of this offering certainly exceeds the price. Values on these late 70's and early 80's specialty cars are on the rise, currently making them great buys!
